Bourbon, Babes, and Brain-Teasers

Hi y'all,

It's Brie! It's been a while, but I am back with a light-hearted read for this week's blog.

I asked my girlfriends from TX some questions about bourbon, and its up to y'all to decide if their answers are spot-on or should be completely ignored all together- because in reality, we're 23 year old girls with not much experience on "whiskey drinking". 😅

Either way, I think you'll find some humor in this.

The first question I asked was: What is the first word that comes to mind when you think of a “bourbon drinker”?

Some of their answers were:

Cigar

Library (Not sure about that one but I guess drinking bourbon is sophisticated?)

Handlebar mustache (Lol)

Big leather chair

Southern hospitality

“My dad” (insert photo of handsome cowboy man named Mark Sprowl)

My second question was: If bourbon were a person...

What’s his name? They said: Brent, Boone, Beckett or Richard

What’s his job? They said: Land man, Rancher, or CFO

What pet does he have? They said: Rhodesian Ridgeback (dog)

What’s his toxic trait? They said: Always has a tee time

What’s his favorite vacation? They said: To the mountains in a cabin, with a fire, no connection, and a bear sitting outside

Who’s his celebrity lookalike? They said: Tom Selleck (Richard from friends)

What’s his favorite country song? They said: "Drinkin Thing" by Gary Stewart

For my last question, I asked them to rank types of drinks a guy can order on an attractiveness scale:

(For example, if a guy orders the answer to #1, that's very attractive)

  1. Bourbon neat (duh)

  2. Old Fashioned

  3. Wine

  4. Beer

  5. Reposado (on the rocks)

  6. Espresso Martini

  7. Vodka Soda

  8. Tequila soda (they said this drink is for girls only)

So, do you agree? Comment down below if you think you have a better answer. 😉

In more serious news, our Bourbon Tasting Experience is now available to book at Wellington Cellars, so if you haven't tried RPB yet, now is your chance! Email info@wellingtoncellars.com to inquire.
